Vision – “Growing in authentic relationship with God and others”
We are in the midst of a Vision Series at Believers Fellowship! We want to bring clarity and direction to our efforts to unite the Church to worship God in spirit and in truth, grow in authentic relationship with God and others, and share that life-changing truth of Jesus with grace.
We looked at every individual’s calling the first week in our overview. That every Christian is called to love God with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength… and love their neighbor as themselves. That every Christian is called to make disciples and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey all that Jesus commanded. Every Christian is called to walk in the Spirit and grow in their relationship with God moving from milk to meat. These are your personal callings! But what does it look like when we get a bunch of individuals gathered together to share life with each other? We call that a church.
Last week we saw what we want to do when we gather on Sunday mornings. We want to WORSHIP GOD IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH through
- Inter-generational, participatory worship that engages the heart and mind.
- Spiritually formative, biblically-rooted songs and prayers.
- Biblical, Christ-Centered preaching that engages both believers and unbelievers.
- Celebrating communion and believer’s baptism.
This is what Sunday morning is about. We also recognize that growing in our relationship with God and others can happen on Sunday morning. We believe it happens best in community outside of Sunday gatherings. This week we want to clarify our vision on getting every person at every age to take the next step in their relationship with God. How do we foster friendships, mentorships, and discipleship? How are we as a church going to equip the saints for the work of the ministry? What are we going to do about this vision?
We hope you join us this Sunday as we focus on worshipping God by following Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Service times are at 9:00 & 11:00. If you can’t make it in person, you can watch live at those times.
