Last summer we did a study based on the questions of Jesus. At the start of the series, we looked at the first recorded question of Jesus in Luke 2. As a young boy he had been left behind by Joseph and Mary in Jerusalem, and when they found him in the Temple he startled them with a question, “Did you not know that I had to be in my Father’s house?”

This week, however, we come to the last recorded question of Jesus.  It’s a question that led to one of the most remarkable conversions ever recorded in the annals of Christian history. He’s best known as the Apostle Paul but before he became, “The Great Apostle of Grace” he was first, “Saul of Tarsus,” the scourge of Christianity, a persecutor of the church and a hater of Jesus.

Then one day on the road to Damascus to capture Christians and bring them back to Jerusalem for torture, if not execution, a bolt of light, shining brighter than the dessert sun, stopped Saul dead in his tracks. Before he knew what had hit him he found himself face down in the dirt, literally blinded by the light. He hears a voice, and the Voice has a question…
