Sunday, September 12: Life Entwined
Community
Phrases like, “Talk is cheap” or “Walk the walk, don’t talk the talk” remind us that what we do often matters a lot more than what we say we do. The clearest indicators of what we believe are often acted out long before they are spoken. If I insist that I’m lactose intolerant but you see me at the ice cream shop every day of the week, I’m either a liar or a glutton for punishment and either way you’ll have concerns about me.
The claims that we make are either confirmed or falsified by the lives that we lead.
In week two of our Entwined series, we’re going to be talking about community and the places where our claims meet reality.
If we claim unity in the body of Christ but contribute to fractures, what do we really believe? If we claim inclusion, but demonstrate favoritism, what do we really believe?
To a world that is paying attention to how our lives preach, what are we as the church saying about Christian community?
See you Sunday!
Service times are at 9:30 & 11:00. If you can’t make it in person, you can watch live at those times.
