Glory – Acts 1:1–11

We may be done with the book of John, but we continue our Glory series this week as we turn the page from John 21 to Acts 1! What exactly happened after the gospel accounts? What are we to do with this life-changing event of the risen Jesus?

Acts is the most important book in the Bible when it comes to the early church and what happened with the disciples. If we didn’t have the book of Acts, we would be left with a lot of letters from random people that we would have a hard time fitting into our Christian walk. Don’t worry, we are not going through the entire book of Acts! But we do want to spend a couple weeks looking at how a follower of Jesus lives their life with the power of the Holy Spirit.

In John 14 (and other places) Jesus promises to send a helper; a guide; a counselor…the Holy Spirit! How does the Holy Spirit help us bring GLORY to God? What is our role in the continuation of this Jesus movement? Find out this Sunday as we turn the page.
