Easter 2025

The Resurrection Matters

This week, we gather to celebrate the biggest day in history. If you think we are having Christmas in April, I wouldn’t give you too hard a time. The second person of the Trinity coming to Earth as a baby is a pretty significant day. Top three for sure. Top three? Yeah…I would also entertain a debate that Good Friday is a pretty significant day as well.

But, Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15 that if the resurrection of Jesus didn’t take place…then Christians are most to be pitied of all people. If the resurrection didn’t take place, then we are still dead in our sins. If the resurrection didn’t take place, then death is the final destination. If the resurrection didn’t take place, then Jesus was just a nice guy and a good teacher…but not the Lord of all.

The day Jesus proved that He is Lord of all and worthy of our praise. The day we are reminded that we have new life in Jesus’ name.
