Sunday, June 24: Questions of Jesus
Luke 2:41–49
The questions we have for God
are not nearly as important
as the questions he has for us.
It can be easy to miss, unless someone happens to point it out, that Jesus, during his short pilgrimage on earth, asked a lot of questions. Have you noticed?
In nearly every encounter with others, whether with followers or seekers, Jesus had a persistent habit of asking questions. There’s a reason for this practice and it has to do with the way questions work. They make us think. The questions of Jesus make us think about our life, relationships, priorities, fears and faith.
To that end we are beginning a summer study series this week based on some of his most searching questions that are as relevant to us today as they were to the first folks he asked. See you on Sunday!
