John 20:19–29

We live in a cancel culture. If a public figure says the wrong thing at the wrong time…forget about any future in that field. In the final chapters of our Glory series we see a similar “rush to conclusions and labels” as we do today.

This week in John 20, we see Jesus reveal himself as the risen Lord and commission his followers to do amazing things! But someone missed out. One of Jesus’ disciples didn’t see the risen Lord with his friends. In fact, he would even claim to not believe them until he sees Jesus for himself, even further until he touches Jesus’ scars! Poor guy never lived down this statement. He is now known for it!

We pick up the Sunday after Jesus rose from the dead! How are people responding to the rumors? What is it like to meet the risen Christ? What should our response to the resurrection of Jesus be?
