Sunday, December 24: Christmas
Luke 1:26-38
And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary;
for you have found favor with God.
And behold, you will conceive in your womb,
and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.”
(Luke 1:30, 31)
for you have found favor with God.
And behold, you will conceive in your womb,
and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.”
(Luke 1:30, 31)
God is in the habit of doing a certain thing that we tell our children not to do. This habit is something our culture generally considers impolite and annoying, if not down-right rude and offensive. There are even entire websites devoted to helping us avoid people who do what God does on a regular basis. It’s been said that, “if God took a class on manners this characteristic would cause the Almighty to flunk out.”
Do you have a wild guess as to what this habit might be? (Hint: It shows up in the Christmas story.) See you on Sunday.
PS: Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Services are at 4:00 & 5:30 pm.
